"I hope they leave feeling engaged and curious, but also slightly unsettled in a good way. I'd love for people to leave the film still thinking about the characters afterwards."
For now, Freya Hollister remains something of a mystery. But in Una Kovac, CALIBRATION appears to have found an actor every bit as curious about the journey as the audience will be.

For actress Una Kovac, the journey into acting began long before she ever stepped onto a stage. It started with books.
Growing up immersed in fiction, she became fascinated by the worlds she discovered between the pages. The characters, relationships, and stories she encountered sparked something that would eventually shape her career.
"I wanted to be part of them," she recalls.
That desire led her into acting groups during primary school, a passion she continued throughout high school before eventually earning a BA in Contemporary Method Acting in Copenhagen. Today, Una takes on the role of Freya Hollister, the protagonist of CALIBRATION, director Serani Hunyi's upcoming psychological dystopian drama.
Interestingly, it was curiosity that first drew her to the project.
"The plot immediately intrigued me. Honestly, I would have done the audition just to find out what happened next."
After reading the audition scenes, she found herself completely invested in the story.
"I needed to know how the script unfolded."
That same curiosity became central to her connection with Freya.
"She's a wonderfully layered character. I was fascinated by the choices she makes and the way her mind works. She's the kind of character who invites analysis."
For an actor whose approach to preparation is deeply immersive, Freya proved a particularly rewarding challenge. Una enjoys building extensive backstories, exploring possibilities during rehearsals, and understanding the internal logic that drives a character's decisions.
One aspect of CALIBRATION resonated with her especially strongly.
"One thing that stood out to me is the idea that we all operate according to our own internal logic. From the outside, somebody's choices might seem strange or irrational, but when you understand their perspective, those choices often make perfect sense."
That observation reflects one of the qualities she believes audiences may find most compelling about the film. Without revealing any spoilers, Una points to the individuality of the characters and the way each person approaches the world from a different perspective.
"Everyone has their own motivations, perspectives, and way of approaching situations."
At the same time, she believes the screenplay offers something different to every viewer.
"Some viewers will connect deeply with the characters, while others will enjoy piecing together the clues and unravelling the mystery."
Once filming begins, however, all of the preparation gives way to instinct.
"I try to stay fully present in the moment."
