Ivana is a Bulgarian cinematographer based between Budapest, Prague, and Sofia, whose visual sense has been greatly shaped by growing up in a family of artists. Surrounded by art from an early age, she has developed a deep understanding of composition, light, color, and visual storytelling—foundations that continue to inform her work today.

Her creative journey began with traditional and digital painting, graphic design, and analogue photography before ultimately leading her to cinematography. Drawn to the unique ability of cinema to unite image, movement, and emotion, she found in cinematography the medium that challenges and enables her creative voice the most.

Over the past six years, Ivana has worked as a DoP on numerous short films, music videos, and commercial projects, and her work has been screened and recognized at international film festivals. She describes herself as an intuitive cinematographer whose task is to translate meaning and feelings into images.
